I did love how he rescued the dog, Nuisance.īut what made me give it 3 stars was the first love scene. Barrett should have given him a job where he couldn't cause destruction. There are some engaging secondary characters but Coates, the clumsy butler, wasn't one of them. I also did not like when Meagan made some incredibly stupid decisions. She's a virgin and from a good family (not that that should matter but back then it did). ![]() I did not like when Barrett said he wanted Meagan as a mistress. While I enjoyed the book, the love story was on and off again for me.
